Cartoon biology and how it relates to aging is complicated

Although most people don’t realize it, Little Orphan Annie DID age in the comics. In her first appearance, she appeared to be about five or six. By the time of WWII, she appeared to be about 11 or 12, at which point Harold Gray froze her aging. But the one strip that DID have its characters age more naturally was Gasoline Alley, but this led to another problem. By the late 70s, Walt Wallet was still in the strip, but he would have been 100 years old at the time…

“Ginger Meggs” is a centenarian next year. :-o

Nancy is pushing 90

So 8 or 10 isn’t creepy enough?

Perhaps she has Turner Syndrome?

Creepier than what she would do?

Is Moxie supposed to be a Lucy Van Pelt kind of character?…
