I looked at that bear, and I remembered a line from one of Kipling’s poems, about a guy mutilated by a bear: “‘From brow to jaw that steel-shod paw, it ripped my face away!’” (“The Truce of the Bear”)
It’s ironic that Trump has done everything in his power to isolate the US from the rest of the world yet he seeks help from a foreign country to dig up dirt on a potential election opponent and that country is at war with his buddy Putin’s Russia. You can’t make this stuff up.
Trump’s supporters aren’t bright enough to recognize that a $100 dollar ladder defeats a 60 Billion dollar border wall. They certainly aren’t bright enough to recognize a grifter criminal who doesn’t even hide his distain for the rest of humanity.
Well, the summary of the transcript of the call has been released from the White House and they’ve put their spin on it. Watch this blow over just like everything else. sigh
There’s nothing there on this one, either. Prepare to be disappointed. Again. The transcript shows no quid pro quo. The Ukraine prez backed Trump’s version today. The dems in Congress are making the keystone cops look like a NYC swat team.
Thing is Trump should be turned around. His “pokings” are completely thoughtless and unplanned. He simply reacts in the moment. He isn’t trying to wake the bear. Trump is just being Trump and expects that to protect him.
The country won’t survive Trump unless there is a cost for his actions.
He’s been committing acts his whole life to poke numerous bears, and always had lawyers and/or accountants to bail him out. Hopefully, he’s finally used that stick one time too many.
Because Trump has zero experience with the workings of Washington, His only way he can see to govern is with conflicts an confusion. He only sees how well he did with his (so called) reality show by saying you’re fired. I guess we the people need to take our representatives to task and replace him (or them)….VOTE PEOPLE PLEASE VOTE
Capone was never convicted for any of his blatant criminality or mobster acts; the simple mundane act of not claiming (enough of) his revenue is what got him. Similarly this poorly executed two-bit muscle attempt on one of our lesser allies could be 45’s self-poison dart.
This was my opinion on this subject until the Ukraine situation——————————————————————————————No one could reasonably believe that Trump is not guilty of lots and lots of stuff. The problem is that I know a bunch of people who UNreasonably believe it. And, a whole bunch of other people who are marginally interested and would believe the news reports, in which Trump would declare that since the senate found him innocent he is pure as the driven snow. The idea that it is the moral, patriotic, honorable thing to impeach him because he is obviously guilty makes some sense. It makes more sense to believe that it is the moral, patriotic, honorable thing to do what is best for this country, and setting Trump up to be declared innocent by the senate is not in the best interests of this country.======================Now, the Democrats have no choice. To fail to call for impeachment on this issue makes the Democrats part of the corruption that the Trump administration represents. And, the Republicans have the choice of either voting to impeach or explaining their failure to do so to the the people that they represent in the next election.

A president who wants to be impeached, rather than serve the country, has huge internal “issues.”

Russian trolls are hard at work today. The GOP Congressworms, and Trump boot lickers working over time to white wash Trump’s mob dealings.

That bear will hopefully destroy the orange idiot, but I doubt it would be willing to eat that piece of crap!

I wonder if he will actually do that, with a different label… i.e., poke the Russian bear in the expectation that it will save him.

Well, you know the saying about prodding bears.
“Don’t do it unless you want their FULL attention.”
I wonder what else will turn up now?
