You’re not telling the truth, Ms Benson. An eyewitness account isn’t “hearsay.”

Pretty hard to respect anyone on the court with a past like his, which always seems to rear its ugly head – he should be thankful cell phones with cameras and videos didn’t exist back then.

The reporters for the “story” cited only one second-hand source. They didn’t even talk to that source, a former Yale classmate named Max Stier, directly. They got his account from two unnamed “officials” who had spoken to him.

If that’s not shoddy enough journalism for you, it gets worse. The book that the info was sourced from also noted that the alleged victim in this alleged incident did not talk to the authors of the book and has made no comments. The book does note that a couple of the alleged victims friends that did comment stated that the “victim” has no recollection of the alleged incident. But none of that made its way into the report. Good job./s

My old journalism prof would have flunked me if I submitted such garbage. Clearly, this was run just to give an unfounded and uncorroborated allegation some legs, then print the corrections/retractions later after the damage is done. NYT needs to remove the “All the News That’s Fit to Print” from the masthead and replace it with a donkey.

Hearsay? A book review quoted in a newspaper is “hearsay?” Then, by extension, all news reporting is “hearsay,” isn’t it? So going forward, all tweets from an account named “RealDonaldTrump” must be discounted as “hearsay,” it’s only what the writer said has happened? Do I have it right?

More FAKE NEWS!. As is often the case, what is LEFT OUT is more important than what is reported – and the NYT is the MASTER of this type of hit job!

The eyewitness can’t recall the incident. NYT conveniently left that out of the story. Really poor journalism.

Read and listen to the mainstream press, ie. NBC CBS and ABC. All of the people that Christine Blasey Ford said were at the “party” are now saying there was no party and that she or her attorney pressured them. Also the NY times issued a revision that the woman doesn’t recall the incident that the man says happened.

These things happen when the Trump White House limited the FBI investigation into Rapey McJudgey. The FBI ignored 20 witnesses.

Sneering vicious Kavanaugh and totally corrupt Barr are the faces of Republican Just Us.

The White House tasked the FBI to do some limited, additional digging, The FBI ultimately interviewed fewer than a dozen people connected to two allegations leveled against Kavanaugh.

Before the nomination vote (he was confirmed to the Supreme Court by the narrowest of margins), U.S. Sen. Christopher A. Coons sent a letter to the FBI, urging “appropriate follow up” on new information he believed was relevant to sexual misconduct allegations made against the nominee.

Then — nothing happened.

Not at the FBI, which assured Coons it had received the letter but did not interview the person whom the senator referred to the bureau.

Amazing. An accusation by a Clinton partisan of which the supposed victim has no recollection, other left wing outlets refused to publish, the Senate Dems on the Judiciary committee ignored because it too feeble.

Despite the retraction by the NYT House Dems are considering using this as grounds for impeachment and the people here are taking it as gospel.

It is almost like the Dems WANT to lose the House in 2020.

Another example of how our mutually exclusive, opposing binary political system always works together to assure that we have fair apolitical courts and equal justice for all by consistently confirming candidates that above reproach. /s
