I think H. P. Lovecraft is inside Natalie.

You think she is scary now, you should have seen her in grammar school. More than one teacher took early retirement. When she went out to play we would all suddenly remember homework, piano practice or a self imposed time-out in the corner.

Natalie says, “If you can paint your fears, you can own them.”

I was hoping that was a portrait of Natalie’s cat.

Looks like she was strongly influenced by Ralph Steadman, doesn’t it?

After smoking 500 banana skins to get that LSD high.. Natalie is proud of her work.. https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/smoking-banana-peels-1960s-donovan-mellow-yellow-hoax

Me, too, Natalie. In isolation, my art work shows me some of my true colors, so to speak. I live alone, so it’s me and whatever I’m working on – talking or yelling to myself. Now, with all the insanity going on – her piece seems – mild.

PS: I sure miss Van Amerongen’s fresh take. Glad for the archives. They’re still pertinent.

I’ve always said that we are two people. The one we show to other people and our inner self. Fortunately, I think most people’s inner self is a little calmer than Natalie’s.

I’m sure Salvador Dali would approve of Natalie’s work.

Good place for the “other Natalie” from the looks of it.
