Knowing Scooter, I can see a cartoonish chase going on here through all kinds of obstacles. Wish it was animated.

Alright! An early Scooter sighting! And I think we can all see why he cultivated a bit of attitude. That is a very demeaning costume for a proud predator to have to wear. I say it would serve Chet right if Scooter took him and his training wheels for a test run.

Aha… we did move smoothly through the inexplicable 7 month gap in the 2002 archives….

This strip is from August 11th of that year.

    Yay!

Now I feel a bit more confident that in spite of any perceived significance to Chet’s training wheels, Ballard Street itself has been repaired and reopened.

He may be on a trial run with Scooter…

But I think we’ve started our real journey.

We can stop looking back at where the strips came from, and start looking at our future…

    Into 2020, 2021… And beyond!

Homecoming Celebration, dawn till 9pm today, Thursday, at the Tiki….

Free hot dogs, free fountain soft drinks… $3.88 yak platters…

One free draft beer or banana daiquiri… (21 and over, please.)

    We’re back!

If I were Scooter I’d head for the nearest large puddle or whoever has their lawn sprinklers going.

It’s time to establish hierarchy here.

I have to say, after dealing with the madness of the world the more prosaic madness of Ballard St is most welcome.

It was so refreshing to wrap my brain around this one first thing in the morning. I have no idea how people function without comics first thing in the am.
