Also… Up is down, in is out, white is right, brown is wrong, Washington defeated the British before they could over-run Logan Airport, thanks to Paul Revere seeing the two lanterns in the control tower, and “your favorite precident” is a stay-bull jeenius!
…and while we’re at it let’s drill for oil off the coast of Alaska and start some serious road building up there. You can’t see the forest for the trees.
What would make a good scientific study is why are so many people suddenly shunning evidence based studies and going back to snake oil salesmen? Also, why are folks so emotional about so many things, that they won’t even enter into a methodical and dignified discussion? Lastly, how can we get back to more rational discussions.
Not that we were unaware, but it shows this administration’s utter contempt for any form of fact whatsoever. Their ONLY priority is covering up whatever idiocy #45 has spouted this hour.
They have no concept of the importance of science to the world, our civilization, and this nation, so they try to wish the “inconvenient” facts away by demanding scientists comply with their nonsense. The White House Science Advisory office has been empty for two years now – and they haven’t even noticed the lack.
Truly, we have become a banana republic, and are increasingly subject to the whims of a dictator — thanks to the support of Mitch McConnell, of course.
I was reading about the health effects of infrasound. It can be a major stressor, and there is evidence indicating that stress contributes to cancer. Windmills put out infrasound. So, considering the stressful effect of infrasound, maybe windmills do cause cancer.
Of course, if you take that tack, then it follows that the following things also cause cancer: Loud music. Blowers. Loud, busy highways. Automotive fumes. Global warming. Trump.
Check out claytoonz.com to see a listing of more lies that Trump insisted that someone search for anything to back him up. It is disgusting to read the list and realize it is just a tiny sample.
The problem with paying scientists to do science is that they come to depend on the paycheck which may color their behavior. The problems with not paying them to do science are, however, much worse!

A good way to study science is to listen to or read what Trump spouts and believe the opposite.

“2 + 2 = 5. Or 1. Or 4. Or all of them together. It’s what the party tells you it is” (paraphrased from O’Brien to Winston Smith in 1984).

This is a rather famous poem from Martin Neimolle…if you can, look him up…he was an activist against Natzism.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Putin’s Song About Trump:
I keep a close watch on my third-rate tool
I really do dislike him, as a rule
He’s useful to me, being such a fool
The USA I soon shall rule!
Of course, I’ll have to rule behind the scenes
Behind the throne, I’ll be like certain queens
But being in control will be cool beans
I’ll rule them all, adults and teens!
