Carol is jealous of the pumpkin and so she has decided to tell a fat joke about her husband in front of him to the neighbor. No wonder Keith prefers the pumpkin.

Well, at least he didn’t take up with a blonde whose bra size was larger than her I.Q.

It could be worse… he could have gone out and bought a sports car

I’ve seen this happen to men when they hit 30, 40, 50, 60, 70….it’s a car, a woman, a boat, a motorcycle…it must be the “0” that scares them….I remember my dad suddenly becoming obsessed with ties, no longer allowing my mom to do the shopping for him, so they became pretty wild and outlandish.

Dad humor is rarely funny but Mom humor is usually spot on and generally pointed at Dad.

Should Elly be drinking coffee right now?

Better the model trains and gardening hobbies for hubby’s male-menopause, than the tall blonde model and red sportscar.

Do we really laugh with our tongues sticking out?

In Ontario, the growing of enormous pumpkins is more than a hobby. It’s an obsession. Friends who had a small hobby farm would trade, buy and sell seeds to grow the most prize-worthy “breeds.” Vines would be tended with care and the competition was serious.

I see that Michael gets his sarcastic wit from BOTH sides of the family, and not just his father’s.
