Well, Trumpers would believe him if he said that even if you physically took them to where the wall is supposed to be and showed them there is no wall. There is no end to their utter denial of reality that makes Trump look bad.

That’s an insult to Machiavelli. BTW the evil turtle man is on the outs with the evil orange man because some of the money for the Great Wall of Chicanery is being taken away from his state.

If this was the thirties Universal could have added him to their ‘monster lineup’. Actually they could do that today.

Little if anything has been done in the red states by the DNC or Democratic candidates to EFFECTIVELY dissuade their core beliefs (e.g. guns are good, women must not have a choice on bearing children, abortion is murder, the federal government can’t be trusted, etc ) so people like the resident and Yertle can continue with little meaningful resistance to dismantle our constitutional democratic republic.

There are too many un-American policies in the current administration, the Senate and SCOTUS for America’s elected representatives of both parties NOT to have taken action to protect the nation long ago.

We ARE a country of immigrants. We HAVE religious tolerance. Justice is supposed to be EQUAL for all. If the parties are unwilling or unable to defend our constitutional democratic republic, they are of no use and we need to find a better way to UNITE and GOVERN our nation.

With the resident having only a 40% approval and Congress barely having half that rating, we do not have a federal government working for “we the people” as a nation to get the best possible consensus/compromise. Instead, we have 50 states competing against each other to TAKE what they can. The parties have failed us miserably.

The Washington Post has obviously instructed Mr. Toles not to use the more precise and demonstrable “Moscow Mitch” moniker than would upset their Russian leaning corporate interests. Make fun of comrade Trump, but don’t go too far.

I think calling him “Machiavellian” gives #MoscowMitch too much credit. Niccolò Machiavelli was subtle, working in the background to get things turned the way he wanted. He was a whisper in the ear.

#MoscowMitch is just a sledge hammer. Like in the cartoon, he just holds up a stop sign; no subtlety, no working quietly in the background, he doesn’t even try to hide what he’s doing. He is the worst traitor this country has ever seen.

When a bribee does what his bribers ORDER him to do, it ain’t really a case of sophisticated plotting and scheming……..

I don’t believe the artist is referring to Niccolò Machiavelli, rather Boris Machiavelli, must be the guy he had in mind. Boris was a russian who was born without a spine, yet lived to be a successful politician.

Give him a map and a new Sharpie. Draw the Wall in. Send our Embassy in Mexico a bill for the map and Sharpie. They’ll pay it, and voila! “Mexico Paid For Wall!”

If he could have fit it into the cartoon, he should have had a 2nd line filled with twits being waved in being handed judge’s robes as he’s packed the courts that will stymie any progress for the next 30 years.
