I would say “Who wears the pants in the family?”…But then I remember that Wiz doesn’t wear pants!

What? The monsters don’t have a night light under there?

There’s a method to his madness, or a madness to his method….

I always thought that bed-monsters would glow in the dark. Think about it, if a monster tried to scare you the middle of the night and didn’t glow, how would you know that he is there?

And if they did glow in the dark. They could play cards under the bed during the night.

Well, if you’d keep the closet door closed. . .

It was a lion. I could not let a hand or foot peek over the edge and had to carefully position myself in the very middle of the bed.

It’s “there ARE monsters . . . ,” NOT “there’s monsters . . . .” Why is subject/predicate agreement such a challenge for so many supposedly educated professional writers? If I had a nickle for every similar blunder by on-air NPR journalists (“Morning Edition” & “All Things Considered”), I’d be able to join the 1%.

Get a life.
