Any oil found in cans does not have the additives to be used in a car made after 1970. It works great in lawnmowers, but you have to change it every year.
Comments today made me smile. I still have all those things in my tool box. Good memories of first cars and Saturdays with a friend working on them. And speaking of oil cans, I wish I still had some of them. Worth a good buck today.

Seems that an oil can spout was one of the first things a person bought when they got a car. That and a whisk broom.

whats the joke? Of course you keep oil in your car maintainence area.
GumbyDammit223 over 4 years ago
But, can you still find oil cans to use that spout on?

The oil spout was drawn backwards.

If you still have oil in cans, that means you don’t change your oil, at least you don’t do it yourself.

Last time I moved I got rid of most of that old car maintenance stuff. I’m actually glad I don’t have to spend every Saturday working on the car.

I can identify with Pluggers and I read each day. Memories help me start with a smile and usually a giggle.

You’re a Plugger if you don’t get rid of car oil even when it’s so old it’s useless? Does that mean Pluggers are hoarders?
