Those white hoods are so passé. Today they no longer hide under white hoods and robes; they proudly, loudly, openly proclaim their bigotry, openly wearing bright, red MAGA hats.
At least the white hoods and robes were MADE IN AMERICA.
Trump’s red MAGA hats and his 2020 election materials are all MADE IN CHINA.
Crap is what trump has turned the Republican party into. I usually call it the Trumplican party, but Craplican also works. The words crap and trump are interchangable.
People have said that not all Republicans are racist, but all racists vote Republican. I’m ready to call BS on the first part. At this point, there is no excuse for anyone to support the neo-Nazi in the White House.
On the other hand, opposition – or open dislike – is also out in the open. We went to a viewing for a former co-worker, and even quiet, casual conversation waiting in the line to speak to the widow, there were remarks about the heat, and how Some People didn’t think it was real. All you had to do was agree and the remarks and jokes flowed. Later, in the lounge, drinking ice water, things got even more open. If there was anybody in the room who was a Trumpette, they didn’t say anything. The disgust over Trump was vehement.
Doesn’t seem like a lot of ‘Cons are making news opposing an obviously unbalanced, racist, sexist/miscogynistic president who’s hijacked most of the ideals and goals which built this nation. Their silence is damning.
This strip resonates with me, the “play along” approach to governance. I have questioned the Putin link. Although i have no doubt that it exists, I think the real puppet masters are in the GOP. Most of what sounds reasonable from trump is what he has been taught and told to say. Or try to say. When he goes off script, we can see the truth behind his mumbling. I don’t know if he’s illiterate. I doubt it. I don’t think he’s stupid or an idiot. You would never be elected if you weren’t smart enough to campaign. I just don’t think he’s a good politician, and certainly not a head of state. Anyone here old enough to remember the Peter Principle? Raise your hand.
One of my Trumpette relatives was complaining about how “they” get to go to college for free. When I pointed out that her daughter is on SSI and her grandson was able to go to college for free, she told me that he works hard for that. She blocked me on Facebook after I pointed out Trump BS too often for her comfort.
The next thing you know, there will be riots all over the deep south and some in the midwest when he doesn’t win the next election. And counter-riots. And — could it be? — Federal forces brought in to quell them, followed by martial law… which would of course happen while The Malignancy is still the legal president. And then?

What’s that deal with the white hoods?
