Being old is both rewarding and frustrating. Rewarding because you recognize when an action is likely to cause trouble, frustrating because when you warn others they accuse you of ‘being old and no fun.’ My response is “That may be true, but I know what comes after ‘Hold my beer and watch this!’”
Being old just means you’ve had a lot more experiences. Unfortunately for most of us those experiences are mainly related to working in a thankless job for bare survival wages.
