Remember ‘Ally McBeal’? My favorite Aunt loved the dancing baby so I made her a flip book of the baby. She was 70 at the time. She thought I should go into business making flip books. It was hard explaining to my aunt about copyrights and such.

What do you mean tall tale? Rattle snakes are found all over the U.S. My favorite rattler story from my ranch hand days; snakes would burrow into the alfalfa windrows. When the hay baler (in the days of rectangular bales) picked up the alfalfa the baler would pick up the occasional snake. When the bale exited the baler the snake could be found with his head sticking out one side and the tail the other.

From a very young age I ate the whole apple, never hurt me. Lately I got to thinking about how the apple grows. It hangs from the tree by a stem. The stem sits in a cup, where it collects stuff. Rainwater, bird crap, and, most dangerous, insecticide. So today I don’t eat the skin around the stem.
