It’s a dog’s life, Snoopy. I remember in my rural hometown, the vet clinic was on the outskirts. Our dog went with us in the car a lot, and she would begin to shake whenever we got near the turnoff.
You have ‘the life’ Snoopy … just watch some of the TV Ads run by the ASPCA which show how badly some animals are treated. Be glad you have an owner who cares enough about you to take you to the Vet, which is NOT inexpensive these days.
I can sympathize with poor Snoopy. I’m told, “you need to see a doctor about that” around here. So you go…they send you to someone else…then someone else…and it’s an endless round of blood draws, x-rays, MRI’s, etc. I should of just gone to the Vet!
Since Snoopy got bonked on the head by a baseball, he just needs to go through the standard concussion protocol sports teams use. Although I’m pretty sure they didn’t have such a thing in 1972.
This is weird,we just took our "Little Fur Ball " a Shih Tzu named Chewy after “Chewbacca” in Star Wars to the Vets yesterday for All Shots and Everything including a Chip and Neutering. He came Home all drugged out with a plastic cone on his neck. Poor Little Guy was lying between us looking like “He had a Lamp Shade Upside Down on His Head and He Couldn’t Even Remember The PARTY !”
This is so strange ! Yesterday My Wife and I took our new"Little Fur Ball" a Shih Tzu “Chewy” after Chewbacca in Stars Wars,to the Vets for Everything All shots, chip, neuter, etc. The Poor little guy came Home with a cone on his neck and all drugged out. I think it is a collective fear for dogs. Our close neighbor was a vet and her office was just down the street. After we got our last dog, our neighbor actually came to our house to check our dog for the first year. And the dog was never afraid…not even a little…even after getting shots from her. We went to office the first time…the dog freaked out…once we entered the vet office waiting area. She was fine and happy on the way there. But once she got in the waiting room and saw and heard and felt the mood of the other dogs…she started shaking in terror. It’s like she didn’t know to be afraid until the other dogs told her.

The moon won’t take you to the vet unless you are using some kind of Biblical navigation system.

Relax, Snoopy, sometimes our imagination and concern are very exaggerated.

Now Snoopy, don’t go in with a temper. Or they might give you a dis-temper shot.

Our worries and anxieties about something are almost always worse than the thing itself!

In this case, since it’s Lucy’s fault (see 8/6), she should be paying for all this…maybe you should contact The World Famous Attorney!

Panel 3 is almost word for word what I heard at my last visit to the proctologist. (Although at my advanced age, my howl sounds more like a whimper.)

In another comic, snoopy was answering questions and all of them ended with “take him to the vet!” So snoopy got what he deserved.
