Rarely, if ever, have a I seen a Congress or politician taken to task to their faces (or lack thereof) as I saw Mr. Stewart do yesterday.

We can fund studies of flay flatulence and its effects on purple petunias, but can’t fund for the care of others with a direct link to an act of war perpetrated on our nation’s soil.

    I shouldn’t really be surprised.

Those of you who aren’t Republicans, take note! THIS is how you honor a flag: by leaving it flying in all weather and unlit at all times of the day until a constellation of loose threads, or until it blows off the stick and becomes someone else’s problem.

(Thanks to Li’l Ol’ Me for pointing out that I forgot to mention that 99% of them are flying in the dark all night.)

Yep…. this is how the representatives of the people always …always treat the people who give of themselves, who give up their health, who give up their lives for the good of others in this country… The First Responders are being treated with criminal neglect. How the Congress is neglecting the First Responders from 9/11 is a crime against all of The Honorable people of this country. But what do we expect? They send our young men and women off to fight Foreign Wars and when those young people come home with injuries both physically and mentally staggering in-scope, those young people of our future… The ones who are supposed to be honored for their sacrifices are being treated the same way that Congress is treating the First Responders. Congress has not changed and it’s attitudes towards those who do their duty to their country are the ones who will always suffer for for caring more about their country than the people in Congress. Like I said, what can we expect from a government that considers hugging the flag for photo ops more patriotic than doing one’s honorable Duty?

9/11 was nearly 18 years ago. So apparently Congress has adopted the notion that the survivors and first responders are now old and going to die anyway. So what’s the hurry? /s

Jon Stewart showed that he hasn’t lost any of his command of language or communication when he savaged Congress for their lack of attention to this issue.

Why it’s a New York kind of problem – isn’t it? My nephew is in the military(and danger). His mother thinks Trump is the greatest . . .

Trump is too worried about his golf-soccer game to lead a GOP Congress water, only his sand traps.

See it’s like this: We had to cut funding for peons so we could pretend to be trying to sort of keep the budget in something resembling balance while giving huge amounts to corporation and the excessively rich.

    Nothing wrong with that!
