Trump’s “success” in negotiating with Mexico is all phony — fake; illusory — like everything else in his pathetic life.
• The deal was already worked out several months ago.
• As numerous commentators have pointed out, the provision that asylum seekers would apply from a foreign nation violates existing statutes and court decisions that Trump cannot unilaterally rewrite. In addition to the recently renegotiated NAFTA agreement (now re-christened USMCA), U.S. law — backed up by court decisions — explicitly states: “You may only apply for asylum if you are arriving in or already physically present in the United States.”
And Trump is only “solving” a problem that exists only because Trump created the problem.
• Trump was the one who sought to illegally impose tariffs.
• At a time when illegal border crossings were at a twelve-year-low, Trump eliminated foreign aid designed to stabilize the social chaos that was the legacy of Reagan’s destabilizing policies in overthrowing democratically-elected administrations in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua. This destabilization took a bad, chaotic situation and skyrocketed it to a crisis of emergency proportions, driving up the numbers fleeing. And the Trump is shocked — shocked! — to discover that record low border crossings suddenly explode to record highs. What is really needed is not punitive measures that further destabilize, but a massive Marshall Plan of recovery from the lingering effects of Republican policies that created this mess..
Trump creating a problem and then bragging about fixing it is like arsonist who sets a fire, then comes back to put it out and wants to be proclaimed a hero. Or more like setting a fire and sending in a special squad to put it out that was created long ago.
Maybe next Trump will make a “deal” to add Hawaii and Alaska as new states /s
In an effort to mollify Trump, all those Taco Trucks, that Trump claimed would flood our streets, are featuring MAGA fries!! This teat is selling really well.
We should all give thanks to trump for his skill in negotiating and saving America.. Like Salat the obligatory Muslim prayer, Americans (heck the whole world) should do the trump.. and prostrate themselves in his divine direction as the sun rises.. and sets.
What does Taco Bell have to do with Mexico? Its not a Mexian company. There are no Taco Bells in Mexico. They’ve tried opening Taco Bellsin Mexico a few times, but it’s failed every time. Compared to authentic Mexican food, Taco Bell is a travesty.
Trump took “credit” for a deal that was already done MONTHS ago in some of its provisions, and weeks in others. I’m surprised Li’l Donnie doesn’t take credit for creating the heavens and the earth in one day—the other six being for playing golf.

His base will believe any made up drivel he can come up with. The ‘Mexico gambit’ was just the latest.

Honestly, if he tweeted this, it wouldn’t be that much of a surprise.

Trump will take credit for anything and lay blame for everything.
He is a liar and a con man and the longer we allow him to get away with this, the worse the clean up is going to be.

I know it’s crass to say it, but Trump truly does resemble an inflatable sex doll here.
