As I’ve said before, the funniest thing is to take a bunch of BCs who are not from the same household and watch them try to herd each other. Ain’t NO one havin’ any PART of that!
I’ve had BCs for 40 years, and only ONE of ‘em wasn’t insulted by the idea of doing anything with sheep; and only two who were in the least interested in toys. They are as individual as we are.
I managed to keep my “mouth” shut yesterday but I can’t do it anymore. Fun fact: Australian shepherds as a breed were developed in the US, not Australia. And the majority in the US are docked soon after birth so you don’t generally see a tail on an Aussie.

My 2 Aussie Shepherds couldn’t care less about “herding” anything.

Well, he’ll herd you when you’re trying to be so good
He’ll herd you just like he said he would
He’ll herd you when you’re trying to go home
And he’ll herd you when you’re there all alone
But you will not feel so all alone
Everybody must get herded…

Fake accent! Australian Shepherds were developed in the American West.
