Walking home from school with someone I wasn’t well acquainted with and conversation was stilted, Just to say something I pointed out a house at random and said I wouldn’t want to live there. She said she wouldn’t mind it was her house. That ruined any hope of a new friendship. I felt so bad, I was just trying to make conversation, her house was okay.
It’s a development! All the houses are built to the same plan. And since it’s also a cul de sac, they are all very close together, almost (but not quite) row houses. Thank goodness for those tiny distinguishing characteristics!
