Our DIY anti-establishment religious cults and their hopefully futile attempt to become a political force are so contrary to both Christian teachings and the mission of the US Constitution that they are truly frightening and very annoying to true Christians and true Americans. Bigotry has no place in Christianity or the US Government.
Multiply this image by several hundred or several thousand or maybe more… And what are their chances of being reunited with their moms and dads??? Slim and none!!! So much for America’s much touted and bragged about compassion for Asylum Seekers. It looks like we’ve turned a corner to become one of the most vilified countries in the world.

It’s pretty likely that some portion of these refugee children have NO living Mother, at this time. My brother-in-law adopted a Mexican infant whose father served years after killing the child’s mother.
One result of poverty and violence is the shattering of family structure. Some of these children have LOST the adult protectors they once had, and basically have no realistic choice but to run from the only real home they have known…..
