Our faces are all locked in perpetual scream now!

Edvard Munch could never have imagined what a perfect metaphor his masterpiece would become for the cataclysmic Trump era.

One shock after another. Every time you think it can’t get worse, it gets worse.

Vladimir Putin wanted Trump to win because he hated Hillary, who had stood up to him like spineless coward Trump never could, and because he wanted to sow the seeds of chaos, incompetence and, essentially surrender.

Now Putin has a worshipful puppet, probably compromised by embarrassing videos and, even more critically for the shameless Trump, damaging information on financial crimes, money laundering, business deals that violated sanctions and, yes, more collusion [and CONspiracy] than Mueller was able to document.

And Putin’s investment is generating incredible return on investment:

    • Trump alienating allies and dissolving treaties

    • Trump imposing tariffs on goods that Russia can now rush in and undercut on price

    • Total chaos in the United States government

The pain caused by Bonespurs has a lot of folks screaming, and it goes much further than the toon. Destruction of public lands and natural resources with deregulation, is also just another “starter”.

Our cartoon character is only hearing the bad news on a radio, if he had television he would be able to maintain the scream for at least five more news cycles.

A year and a half ago, I told my doctor at the VA that I have been having more problems with depression since the 2016 election. He said that there was a lot of that going around.

It’s good to remember that those are all PARTIAL RETURNS with no underlying information.

What were the underlying details of all those losses? Some building that he bought cheaply because it was going to be condemned by eminent domain and was then a ‘loss’ of a hundred mil or so?

One year there was ‘interest’ income of some fifty mil. What was the security(s) that generated that interest? From a Russian loan?

    .

Trump Disciples don’t want to know that information.

But they REALLY don’t want YOU to know.

Just remember, it isn’t just Trump, it’s the republicans in congress who enable him. This would be easy to fix if they weren’t so willing to abet him in his blatant looting, lying and corruption.

Vote wisely this coming election. It’s the only fix.

Let’s see? Support the rule of law, protect the nation and its economy and its people, defend the Constitution…

    or

… hold onto power for as long as we can?

    Republicans Are Go!

The common interpretation of this painting is that the central figure is screaming. Another is that the person, ears covered, is shrinking in terror from an unseen screamer. Munch himself has spoken of seeing e weirdly colored sky and having the powerful impression that the whole of nature was screaming.

Any or all of these seem like our present national nightmare.

My last, final hope….all this abasement of our blessed America will, though, exterminate the termites who would tear us asunder, the venal, loathsome GOP will be no more. We will dance on their grave.

Very, very hard. And he counts on that. He’s learned that a constant barrage of inconsistent lies forces those who are limited to the truth to play a defensive game. The thing to do is pick a target and FOCUS: as in “loser Trump can’t make a dollar without having to borrow it from Russia.”

I have always heard that we “needed” a good businessman as President. We got Donald J. Trump, who is neither good, nor a good businessman (how many “good businessmen” lose a billion dollars over 10 years). So he can claim mission accomplished; the country is now just like Trump enterprises; awash in red ink and on the verge of collapse.

The last panel is not a shock that trump lost lots of money. Everyone is well aware of his bankruptcies.

I have a question. When the tax returns showing a billion dollars in losses over ten years became public, Trump responded along the lines that he was gaming the IRS for sport. I guess he thought that would make him look like some kind of genius. Wasn’t that genius admitting to tax evasion?
