The good women of Georgia must be so pleased. Any decisions will be made for them by men who know better what is “right” than you ever could. All you good ladies need to do now is take your shoes off and go back to the kitchen. Your pious men will take care of everything for you. (/s)

Women should be given a choice. If they walk into a Planned Parenthood, the people who work there will most likely push them towards abortion. Vice versa if they walked into a clinic that was heavily anti-abortion.

Women should be given the pros and cons of having an abortion, and they should make a choice based on that. Pregnancy is a very stressful time for women, and it makes it harder when she has to choose between giving birth or getting an abortion.

On top of that, we must prioritize Sex Ed, especially with blacks. Black women have more abortions than they do births, and most abortions come from families in the inner city. Giving them the proper education when it comes to sex, along with contraception, will be the biggest factor in decreasing the number of abortions overall. Republicans cannot ban abortions because women will still have abortions, but they will be more dangerous and more risky for them.

Banning anything isn’t effective as one might think, Republicans and Democrats alike should know this by now.

Voter suppression combined with Punishment Of Sinners. Especially women sinners who are poor.

    The Republican Nirvana.

This is NOT SURPRISING – remember, until 1967, Georgia had laws on the books forbidding marriage across “races” (anti-miscegenation laws), and they were only rendered inapplicable by an outside force, the Supreme Court. To my knowledge, they were NEVER repealed – it’s just like the anti-abortion laws still on the books in many states – still there – still waiting…

The state of Georgia should go full in on regulating births. The legislators should make it law, that every male upon reaching puberty shall have a vasectomy. The male can store his sperm in a sperm bank. When he would like to procreate, he can fill out a form. The appropriate panel of white christian males will review his application and determine if he and his partner are worthy of procreation.

No more abortions, except in the rare cases of risk to the life of the mother.

It would seem that large parts of the government in Georgia are an abomination.

It just seems wrong to make decisions like that for everyone when election results are so close.

I understand a new billboard went up today on I-75 just south of Chattanooga that reads “Women. it’s only 365 miles to Florida. Make the Right Choice & Don’t Stop In Georgia”

This won’t stand. Less intrusive laws have already been struck down.

I say go with viability without medical support as the cut off point. However, once that line has been crossed, no abortion allowed except for cases where there is a risk of death or serious long term PHYSICAL consequences for the woman.

In my opinion 6-7 months are more than enough time to make a decision.

New law in Ohio is forcing an 11 year old rape victim to carry to term and give birth. And Georgia’s law is worse. I might just change specialties from oncology to OB/GYN.

The white male “christian” proponents of these laws are expecting them to be challenged all the way to SCOTUS which, now that it’s more conservative, might actually reverse Roe v Wade in order to support these laws.

Who gets to make the decisions for the children: parents or the government?

Vaccinations: the parents. Schooling options: the parents. Nutrition: the parents. Religion: the parents. Providing birth control: the parents. Abortions: the government, as the parents aren’t qualified to make such important decisions.

Georgia – just another fading bastion of White Male Superiority. like MS, LA, AL, FL, SC, NC, TN – did I forget anyone?
