The Koch brothers, Walton heirs, Mercer heirs, Mitt R-money, DeVos family, Bush family, and of course Donald Trump and his kids all inherited their wealth for which THEY DID NOTHING and they understand nothing of how real people live. Trump inherited hundreds of millions in gifts, loans (that were never repaid) and inheritance, and managed to establish record losses — even in his casinos, where the house always wins. (Of course, in typical Don-the-Con style, most of it was other people’s money.)
In contrast, Warren Buffett, the most successful investment capitalist of all time, and George Soros, a successful billionaire industrial capitalist, grew up humbly. Buffett came from Nebraska, where he is known as the “Oracle of Omaha” and still lives (he was told he would never amount to much if he didn’t move to New York City); Soros came to this country with NOTHING as a 15-year-old Holocaust survivor. These two, who inherited NOTHING from Daddy, truly come as close as possible to epitomizing the CONservative myth of being “self-made” as anyone ever could.
But because these successful but ethical CAPITALISTS have the NERVE to remember their humble origins, appreciate the reality that even they were not “self-made” but had lots of help and want to ensure that others have the same opportunities they did, the CONservatives who inherited everything from Daddies and “earned” NOTHING want to label them SOCIALISTS or COMMUNISTS!
The hardest working people in the U.S. are the minimum wage workers who hold down two or three jobs and work long hours to support struggling families.
If wealth was based on hard work, dark-skinned women in sub-Saharan Africa would be the richest people on the planet.
