If he’s also a flat-earther, do a 180 and see if he falls off.

From what we know from most established religions, mankind’s suicidal self-destruction of his habitat will not bode well when judged in the hereafter. We were supposed to conserve what we have mot expect the earth to magically repair the damage we’ve inflicted upon it.

Humans need to realize that the earth doesn’t need them, while the opposite isn’t true. Earth was here long before the first cavemen stood up on two legs and will be there long after human memory is dust and a few artifacts sifted out of the crust. It’s up to those humans to decide how soon that occurs. The planet doesn’t care.

1% of the current population of humans would be 80 million – more than enough to ensure the survival of our species. The Earth could easily handle 80 million. The best thing that humans could do for the Earth is to limit family size to one child until the population gets back to a manageable number.

Psychological studies on rats showed them getting increasingly aggressive when put in artificially induced overcrowded cages. People are certainly acting this way. Add in limited amounts of fresh water and resources (minerals, wood, etc.), a dash of some super disease which mutates quickly and is untreatable, and there’s the recipe for a global crash.

When humans devise major ‘improvements’ meant to protect various species and the earth itself, they sometimes resemble time travelers, who return to the past to ‘correct’ some imbalance but cannot anticipate or avoid the actual consequences of their actions. Might work, might not. Best intentions and all that. And then there are those who are out for personal gain and for whom future disastrous outcomes will be someone else’s problem, if there is anyone left to handle them.

Republicans do not care about the environment or that many species are becoming extinct, or that Co 2 is out of control. They only care about money going into their pockets, and any elections they can steal with the help of foreign adversaries.

What people don’t seem to realize is that the Earth will probably survive us, but we will not survive what we are doing to the Earth.

Earth will be just fine even if humans wipe out every species in the whole world, including ourselves. Earth has had many forms of life. They come, they go. Earth is still here.

I’m pretty sure that the Earth (assuming it could) doesn’t care.

Stephen Hawkings said the earth will heat up to 225 degrees if we don’t do something.
