Another LOW BLOW from a knee-jerk TrumpubliCON parroting the racist attacks on Ilhan Omar by an admitted anti-Muslim racist.
The statement that Trump FALSELY edited out of context, on which Kelley now doubles down on Trump’s perfidy, was a statement that was NOT about the horrific terror attacks by Muslims, but was 100% about the way racists responded.
Rep. Omar intentionally failed to state what the action was because she was not speaking about the horrific action.
She was talking only about the response — terrible, horrific criminal terrorists committed a heinous act, but that is not the issue. THE ISSUE is that those who had nothing to do with it were convicted in the court of public opinion, fueled by racists and bigots like Donald Trump.
Phony, hypocritical “Christians” (who have nothing in common with anything Jesus actually taught) who want to render all Muslims guilty by association for actions by those they repudiate (and often help authorities identify and intercept) must then take responsibility for the “Christians” who shoot women’s doctors, bomb women’s clinics or take AR-15’s into (black) churches, gay nightclubs, Jewish synagogues and Muslim mosques.
While (fringe minority) Muslim extremists may pose the greatest danger in some parts of the world, in the United States “Christian” terrorists represent by far the greater threat.
And the response of bigots like Steve Kelley validate exactly the point Rep. Omar makes.
It’s pathetic the way the RWNJ’s keep perpetuating a lying quote taken out of context. Then again, I guess it’s the only thing they have left after two years of the Orange Idiot in office.
Steve Kelley has repeatedly shown himself to be without intellectual integrity and without shame. He needs to face someone like Joseph Welch—-but it would probably roll right off his back.
In 1960, facing issues regarding his Catholic faith, and allegations that if elected he would be a papist, presidential candidate John Kennedy gave an incredibly inspirational speech which I will relate to you from memory, where he said that there is something I need you to know about me. He went on to say that he hoped no American, regarding the critical issues facing the country, would waste his franchise and throw away his vote, by voting for him or against him because of his religious faith. “It is not relevant,” he said. He then assured Americans that any decision made by him as president would be made by HIM, “As an American, as a Democrat and as a free man.”
If anyone knows that Rep. Omar has made a similar declaration about her service in Congress, please post it. Such a declaration would go a long way to buttressing her credibility.
I keep having to resist the urge to unfollow this cartoonist because he’s such a consistent liar, distorter and small minded to boot. But I promised myself I’d at least peek in on such people, so I do resist. Cartoons like this make it harder, though.

Considering your present POTUS, Gowdy, Steve King and Devin Nunes, you’re not exactly standing on the high ground.

‘Heaven’ forbid anyone should be allowed an opinion that differs with the orange party leader.

Did I miss something Rep. Omar said on Sri Lanka or is this a stretching of reality even more pronounced than typical for Mr. Kelley?

Again, Kelley shows his disdain for women in Congress “who don’t know their place!”

@Wlly Blly: “It’s pathetic the way the RWNJ’s keep perpetuating a lying quote taken out of context.”
This cartoon isn’t “perpetuating”, it’s inventing. Representative Omar did not make that statement; Steve Kelley did.
So if there’s anything wrong with it, it’s Steve who is (ir)responsible.
