A Paulie thought bubble!

Knew Paulie was the savior!

Yipes! Yesterday I commented “The cat has assumed control. Please direct all further questions to the cat.”

I sensed something about Paulie, but not THIS! Secret guardian angel in disguise? That would explain how “Lucky” Eddie gets out of so many predicaments

Paulie’s “whap whap whap” is great! ♥♥♥ :)

And Paulie will fix Capt Eddie’s boat so they can get back to shore.

Man, maybe Cap’t Eddie should let Paulie do the fishing. That is one big fish!

My cat Shirley would bring me dinner sometimes. Then one night or early morning around 3 AM, she decided to pluck the breast feathers from her latest hunt on my bedroom floor, banging her head against the closet door making a mess and waking me up. After that, I locked the cat door at nights. Then my father’s old saying made sense, “You never know what the cat brings in.”

This can’t be the real Cap’n Eddie (and therefore it must not be the real Pauli): the question mark and the exclamation point didn’t come from his pipe!

Looking at the last panel, the cat is whapping (not tapping). To me the cat is more likely saying “That’s my fish; go get your own!”

Hmm. Cat as guardian angel or exploited self-provider. Interesting.

Suddenly there’s firewood??

Wiley, I lived in New England and frequently traveled to Maine. You are a mawhstur at replicating that down-East accent!
