The story of Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump:

    The Turtle and the Hair.

The HAIR wins, because Mitch McConnell completely surrendered the autonomy and the dignity of what was once a separate and co-equal branch of government and made it a wholly-browbeaten subsidiary of the White House.

Trump has failed at every business he ever ran, including trying to be president, but the best deal he ever made was hiring Elaine Chao as Secretary of Transportation (another Chinese, well actually Taiwanese, import and, more important, wife of Mitch McConnell).

“M”? “W”? “B”? I guess that some letters are interchangeable.

Mitch takes the easy way out; ‘Trump’ is easier to spell than ‘Constitution’.

I’d like to say, “yes, WE have a clue…but Mitch doesn’t”!!! But, in fact, I’m pretty sure he knows exactly what he’s doing, and why, and for whom.

Is there no way out of this nightmare the Republicans are turning the USA into?

Conservative pudit George Will, about Republican members of Congress pandering to Trump:

These Republicans raise two questions: Why is there a Congress? And why are such Republicans receiving salaries? Every Republican who supports the president in this trashing of the Constitution whose creation began here thereby violates his or her sworn oath to defend it and to “bear true faith and allegiance” to it. Voters should expel all of them from public life.

I wonder what it must be like for the voters of Kentucky, to be represented both by Mitch McConnell — a complete partisan whore — and Rand Paul, somebody with actual principles (even tho I’m not all that fond of the particular principles he espouses) who actually acts on them.

It would be great if the same kind of dirt that has been found on Trump’s henchmen could be found on Mitch so he can be taken out.
