In the movie “The Adventures of Robin Hood” (1938), the Norman overlords at a banquet are laughing over the hanging of Saxons for non-payment of taxes when Prince John (played by Claude Rains), remarks, “But not too many, mind, lest there be none left to till our land or pay our taxes.” Now, 81 years later, that has an unpleasant familiar ring to it.
If this is Feinstein, it would be more instructive to look at the reception the same group of kids and parents got elsewhere. Feinstein listened to them politely, offered one of the kids an internship, but would not lie and offer support for something she did not support. The full tape shows her as receptive, if not coddling. When the same group went to see Mitch McConnell, he had them arrested. In case it’s lost on everyone, Mitch, not Dianne, is in the Majority party in the Senate.
I somewhat agree with Michael Grogan. While Feinstein’s response may have been far from perfect, we tend to hold Democrats to a far higher standard than we do Republicans. I see a lot of Feinstein in the news, while the news seems to be giving the absolutely abhorrent behavior of Mitch a pass.

Never thought I’d sympathize with Diane Feinstein, but she has been very remiss. How DARE she fail to solve all of society’s problems in a mere 30 years. Shameful, right, A-OCK? What a bunch of third-rate slobs these New York politicians are. Too dumb to let Amazon build in place and fully staff their new Disneyland. THEN you skin them alive! What are they then going to do, leave? First you catch and kill your prey. Only then do you get to eat it, you jerks. Total political incompetence.

No excuse, but probably just a bad day for an 85yr old.

Dianne Feinstein is a prime example of everything wrong with the Democrats. She will never retire. She craves power too much for that.
