I’m not sure that’s true. There is some textual evidence I vaguely remember concerning OWLS examinations or something. Thought he did OK with those and impressed an examiner with his patronis summoning. Somebody here must have read the series more recently than 10 years or more ago right?
He knows like 5 spells. I’ve never even “seen” him do the Levy-O-SAH spell. A magic cloak that will hide anyone who is under it doth not a Wizard make.
A friend of mine made the following excellent points: “That is NOT really true… He was good enough to teach DADA… He cast a fully formed patronus in his third year…”
