Oh, you’re a middle-class worker? You’re NEVER going to get your tax cut as long as RepubliCONs are in power to REDISTRIBUTE you wealth to the few richest elites who already have the most.
Tax cut? You’re not even going to get your tax REFUND for the taxes you’ve already overpaid, because Trump is holding the people who process your refund hostage. Trump is holding YOUR TAX OVERPAYMENTS hostage.
Don’t negotiate with terrorists who demand ransom.
Don’t sacrifice your tax refund or (if you’re a federal employee, their families, contractors, or those who cater to them) your paychecks as ransom to a Russian terrorist.
Trump doesn’t care about the U.S. government being shut down, because that’s not the government he works for.

So, LOM: You really do not understand cash flow. In a typical US household there is a hard reliance on the paycheck every week. When the paycheck comes in, and has $0.00 on the money line, the bills still come in and still have the normal balances on the “due” line. We are now a month and two $0.00 federal paychecks into the shutdown. People are running out of money. Some people have run out of money. That is the fact of cash flow for normal households. You keep saying that people are not working for free like it is a useful observation. It is not.
I’m suspecting Mr. Stahler’s reference to a “tax cut” might be in reference to the Middle Class Tax Cut promised us all if we would just vote “Republican” in 2018!
Of course, we didn’t so I’m assuming that Donnie John feels no obligation to carry through on his part of the tax promise. By the way, does ANYONE remember what the Great Orange Nightmare told us to encourage the American electorate to go along with his first great (almost $2 trillion) tax cut? That he’d suffer right along with the rich, and not reap ANY benefits from the great wealth giveaway?
Remember that, in the end, Donnie John was ACTUALLY able to save himself MILLIONS after the tax bill was actually passed!
Point of fact – whenever Donnie John inadvertently speaks truth AT ALL, we should take that “truth” and hold it in our hearts, it being so rare and all.
My wife and I got ours. It’s basically equivalent to the monthly payments on the new Outback plus a weekend at a nice hotel in Boston a couple times a year. We’re very, very far from the 1%…solidly middle class.
I got an extra $200 in my paycheck twice a month. Ran a trial return in T-Tax and my refund is within $200 of the prior year. I didn’t get a raise in 2018, but, in the last 3 months my commissions started to tick upwards as more people who DID get raises have been spending that money.
