It shouldn’t come as a surprise. Since Obama’s election, the Republicans’ racial bias has been more and more overt. Stephen King made the mistake of thinking it was finally okay to say out loud what they’ve been thinking all along.

Correction: Hateful racist rhetoric has a place in the republican party because it comes from the White House.

The racism in the White House sits in the Oval Office. It started with his lies about Mexican immigration when he announced, through his “both sides” praise of the Charlottesville white supremacists and his “Muslim ban,” to his current lies about our southern border. It’s also present in every staffing decision he has made in favor of old white men, whom he’s favored almost completely.

This is a big breakthrough. The ‘pivot’ that we’ve all been expecting since 2015. Nobody actually believes any of it, but may-hap that’s not to the point.

The GOP racial talking-points-of-the-week do look good in print and in the video clips. The insincerity of politicians is a given. Hearing anyone speak out against white supremacy and bigotry is a good thing.

I seriously doubt any non-racist voters are suddenly going to flock to the GOP. The Republicans’ reputation for race baiting and prejudice is firmly established and is an institutional fact – it’s the very reason they ‘won’ the presidency and do so well in the ‘heartland’.

A whole lotta bigots are going to be absolutely sickened by the anti-racist meme the GOP is pushing, and it only gets worse once Tяump is gone. These bigots will never vote moderate, and certainly not for Democratic party candidates, but the Tяumpistas are just as unlikely to transfer their loyalty to the newly ‘woke’ GOP.

Republicans are damned to a reduced voter base even as they faux repent. Best of both worlds for Democrats and those seeking social fair play.

The BIG difference between the parties is that the Democrats do by-and-large want to represent most everybody. The White Supremacists have a party of their own in the Republicans.

Is the GOP starting to grow some balls? If so, make them bigger and start standing up to that racist, lying, egotistic orange baby in the WH.

King said aloud what they all think, he must be punished.

First Rule of the GOP club, don’t talk about the GOP club.
