That’s prime Lucy. She who pointed up to the sky, and instructed Linus: “Those are clouds. They make the wind blow,” causing Charlie Brown’s stomach to hurt.
Was just googling for more clarification. It says there are about 40 million piano students in China while only 6 million in the United States. And with a degree in music/piano, you can earn about$50k a year. Hardly a way to get rich.
I once saw a Nike ad in a magazine. A photo of a stack of school textbooks on a locker room bench with the caption “Your chances of making it big in the pros is about a million to one. Better have a back-up plan.”
Even in the 1950s, 80 million piano students might have been a bit much. Today, I suspect the number of people studying piano is much less than it was 70 years ago, and personally I find that sad.
true that Schroeder, piano bars aren’t as popular anymore – also true for 98% of what’s blasted at us as fact checked “true” by the basement dwellers – and people above me don’t even bother to check – just go along to get along cause they don’t like “mean” tweets. ROFL

Not sure the year this was published, but in 1975, this would have been over 1/3 of the country (216 million).

95% of what some folks say is fabricated BS, and the other five percent, they just make up.

As Daniel Webster said about becoming a lawyer when the field was already overcrowded, “There is always room at the top.”
There were eighty million piano students out there who weren’t Schroeder.
