When Mad magazine ran an article portraying comics characters as grown-ups, they showed Lucy married to Charlie Brown. She was a domineering shrew, CB was a milquetoast, and Charlie Brown, Jr. was a Schroeder clone.

So she later transfers that thought to Schroeder.
