Seeing Wally with anyone other than Holly is never going to feel right.

So… is Wally REALLY going there in his dreams? Is he just making it all up, or is Aaron Marx stealing his consciousness at night times? I’m beginning to think the latter. I’m beginning to think Marx is trying to educate him.

Where are they? Looks like above ground. Isn’t that dangerous?

Yes, I would say from the looks of it, they HAVE run out of roads! They have found a LARGE body of water, and no way to build a boat. Interesting that they appear to be underground, yet above the water line. SOMEONE has charted this area before!

I’m a bit lost. We’re not in endtown. Is it another universe or a dream in a dream ? If so, where is the spinning top ?

So we see cliffside dwellings at the edge of an ocean. Plenty of fresh air, unlike Endtown. One thing that struck me was no seabirds were flying, which reminds me anew that this is a post-apocalyptic world and the ecosystem has still not recovered very much. There’s electricity where they are (the ceiling fan/light in their bedroom) and presumably others in this colony.

Wally, you’re in what appears to be a pretty safe place. See if you can subdue your nomadic tendencies and build a life there.

Are there any other occupants in those cliff dwellings? Too bad there isn’t a beach.

They’ve found shelter, and Kirbee is eating something that is not beans (unless the “cookies” were made from formed and dried beans). Is it a settlement, or are they the only ones in that buried building? What food is there? Is that a fresh water lake, or a salt water sea?

Marx is a deity modeled after our own: capricious & without compassion. Wally’s reflections are the human condition in a nutshell.

Early morning, must be a sun RISE over the ocean, that means East Coast.

Perhaps Wally needs to be reminded that someone back in Endtown is waiting for him to send word about finding a new home.

Remember Al? His wife, Gustine, is a rhino who had identity issues.

Marx chose his acolyte correctly, but he can’t let Wally settle in Candyland. There’s sinister forces carving up the various realities and he has to keep Wally moving. Poor Wally is our story’s ‘Lone cowboy’: he can’t live happily ever after or we would lose interest in him. I hope Kirbee can keep up with him because Wally has to keep moving toward the next problem.

The first panel appears to be overlooking the ocean. The last looks like one enormous tsunami coming in. Should be interesting…

The way Kirbee’s putting away the groceries, do you think she’s preggers?

Is that the ocean? Is there still an ocean after everything that happened?

Then there should be rain occasionally, too.
