According to Lisa; case closed. Kavanaugh is the perfect choirboy who just likes a few (dozen) beers. She also believes that boofing is just flatulence. Her choirboy would never lie about that, would he?
Someone told Trump that Ford made a compelling statement. To get the ‘ladies’ on side let’s have a FBI investigation. It’s not going to matter but it looks good for us.
Republicans hide 90% of his records. Republicans classify and restrict the rest. Republicans and Trump refuse to allow re-opening FBI background investigation. Republicans decide what the American people deserve to know about a nominee no-one knows anything about. Republicans are forced to convince their Trump to instruct the FBI to conduct a separate, “summary” investigation into accused sexual assaults. Republicans have decided the progress of the FBI investigation needs to be relayed to them to allow Republicans to manage exactly what information the FBI will be allowed to pursue. And take no longer than 1 week to do it.
I think Judge Kavanaugh made clear his inability to be an impartial justice. He clearly stated he blames the Democrats for this debacle, a position supported by Senator Lindsey Graham, who spewed his venom about “a fair process.” What I find tragically ironic is the complete hypocrisy of the GOP. This was the same Senator, of course, who orchestrated the block of even hearing on Merrick Garland’s nomination in 2012. But as soon as they obtained power in both the Senate and the House, the GOP rigged the rules so the same tactics could not be used against them! Now the whining of “unfairness” by the party who controls the White House, the Senate, and the House of Representatives (and likely soon the Supreme Court, completing the Grand Slam) comes across as hollow and sour grapes.
We need an amendment that will eliminate unilateral, winner take all decisions being made by political parties while serving in Congress. Issues like SCOTUS nominations and tax reform should require 90% consensus not a single vote to pass. The House and Senate rules have gotten out of hand and we need an amendment to put things back on track. While the Constitution was designed with full knowledge of the harm that political parties, unitary control, state religions and the influence of the wealthy, we disregarded the founders best advice — as they themselves did — and find ourselves with a totally dysfunctional government that at best can serve only the ideologues in their ≈ 25% of the electorate base while ignoring the ≈ 75%. No, we should not be a pure Democracy, but yes we should have proportional representation with no one left without a voice in Congress. There is no way that an opposing party system can create unity, but a two party system with deliberation, collaboration, compromise and consensus can … it just involves more effort than today’s politicians are willing to take on.
Benson “doesn’t remember” the Benghazi investigations and the Starr/Kavanaugh investigations … So, they didn’t happen….
Kavanaugh doesn’t admit to excessive drinking in high school and college … So, it didn’t happen…. [ Except that there are multiple witnesses who say it did! ]
@TWB#, your conclusions are all wrong. Many catholics are liberals and JFK was the Democrat candidate and won the election. Try examining why Brett is not a suitable candidate.

Kavanaugh does not have the temperament to be a judge.
He could coach a female basketball team, drink beer all day and yell at women, its perfect.

So, tell us again. Once an investigation is over bringing up newfound information isn’t allowed because the investigation’s OVER!!! Dangit!!!

Let’s see . . . this investigation could be as much about Dr. Ford and the Democrats. Be careful what you wish for.

@TWB_____ — As John McEnroe would say, “You can’t be serious!” Just how many Catholics are currently on the Supreme Court!
[ P.S. Do some reading … You’ll discover that Kavanaugh ‘worships’ Rehnquist’s disdain of women’s rights! ]
