What does it say about an administration when someone in the highest ranks of your inner circle anonymously writes an op/ed article about the incompetence, corruption, chaos and mental instability of the illegitimate “president,” and you can’t narrow it down to the top 30 most likely suspects?
Of course, they’re all denying it. And all the news media tonight are showing the denials in 1974 by Mark Feldt, repeatedly denying he was Deep Throat (and, ironically, the one Nixon selected to investigate to find out who Deep Throat was) who, of course, many years later (with prodding from his daughter), admitted it was him.
More likely, the source was trying to get people to consider Pence as the source. But Pence is too much of a worm.
Code has existed for sometime to help identify authorship based on previous writings. This can be turned around to write text that appears to be authored by someone specific (for which there is a substantial amount of material available).
You need to consider that this could be a false flag operation by the Russians. It is precisely the sort of thing they would like to do to the US.
Barron is the only family member for whom I feel even the slightest sympathy. It’s tough enough starting adolescence, but doing so under these circumstances must be brutal.
Normally, the joke would be about the White House dog or cat. Since Trump can’t deal with organisms that aren’t able to lie and flatter, there is no White House pet, so the cartoonist must find a substitute.
What if several of the senior staff contributed to the op-ed? Saying “I am not the one.” when questioned would be plausible. If that were found to be true, Donnie’s head would explode.
So much crap has gone on during the tragic trump era that we forget about certain awful things. It is hard to keep track. We must always remember trump intentionally traumatized several hundred families by separating babies and young children from parents. This was done as a deterrent, in their own words. Over 400 children are still without their parents due to trump’s actions.
Having read the op-ed, I’m inclined to agree that “the author” is more than a single person. I have wondered for some time about the GOP leadership’s true feelings for their President. As Bex said above, multiple authorship would create plausible deniability for any individual. And the president’s reaction demonstrates his emotional instability.
The anonymous op-ed is another smokescreen, maybe?? Who wants to bet that it is really some nefarious plan to discredit the media?? Or is it …can it possibly be that….hmmmm…maybe … it’s a political gambit by Pence…..maybe Pence is tired of waiting for his chance to be the instigator of an American Christian Taliban along the lines of M. Atwood’s Republic of Gilead?? Hmmmmm?? Don’t think it’s the first lady??….but what about “Mother”??
Whatever they do, including removing Trump from office before the midterms — it’s ok to breathe a sigh of relief, but don’t get all relaxed and think you don’t need to VOTE.

Or maybe the source is Melania!
But the idea of it being Barron is great!
Be amusing if it was Jared.

It’s Pence. He’s decided it’s time to take over, and he’s making his move.

Following the Trumpenstein’s numerous ‘flings’, I’m not surprised if it’s his wife.

Barron is the only innocent in the family. Leave him out of it. My guess for the op-eder is Jarrod.

Poor little rich boy. He looks so sad when he is near Der Furor. Luckily that isn’t very often.

Well, the one thing we DO know is that it wasn’t Comrade-cadet Bonespurs-trumpski himself, since he’s functionally illiterate.
