Pretty much all manufacturing jobs, which are so fondly wished for by the MAGAts, are now done by robot. The wage slave now is a desk drone, data entry, and service jobs only. And they are automating as many of those as they can, too. When was the last time you talked to a real person instead of a phone tree? There are still workers, but the hardest jobs are still being done by people paid less than they should be.
Hmmmm looks like BB has a proclivity to portray any non liberal as a deplorable, drunken ignorant sot. The world is not so black and white. In fact I know that most folks are good and simply want what’s best for their families. One wonders how many conversations BB and others have had with real people who actually believe in the principles of limited government, individual liberty, free markets, true rule of law and a the saving power of Christ. If so, were they true conversations where two way listening occurs? That would be a good start for true understanding of eachother and an honest portrayal of Americans.
You see real Americans all pretty much want the same thing, they often just advocate different ways of getting there. Thankfully history shows the path to peace and prosperity and it is through less central control by elitists, more love for eachother and a commitment to try to walk a path of virtue, not vice. A path painted by Christ is a good start for those searching.
Opus is correct. Labor (birthing) is “workish.” But wearing a pillow tied around your middle is not, so maybe we could cut sotted Uncle (John?) Dewey some slack, too.

I could do with a whole bunch less of Uncle Dewey, no matter how much red, white and blue he wears.

In the “Handmaid’s Tale” Labor Day did become that, about women giving birth. July 4 was ignored.
