    I prefer well-done with A-1. And steak fries. Mmmmmm… or Prego. Actually, Prego goes with anything – hamburgers, steak, spaghetti, french fries, corn flakes, mashed potatoes…

    It’s his steak. He paid for it. Let him eat it however he wishes. How is it going to affect anyone else. So, here’s the new order: “One steak, well done, hold the criticism.”

    Once you cook any steak past medium rare, your not going to be eating ‘steak’. What you’ll be having is roast beef. But each to their own.

    If you’re going to slather ketchup or A-1 on your steak, you might as well buy the cheapest cut there is as you’re not going to taste the meat.

    If a person who doesn’t want any pink in their steak is smart, they’ll order it medium-well: cooked through with juice. I managed steakhouses for many years & explained it this way to our customers. One time a customer ordered a steak extra well done, (she actually said extra 14 times!) no pink at all. Some restaurants will cook the crappiest steak they have for well-done orders. Besides, the red is myoglobin, a protein, not blood.

    Put the steak in front of a picture of a fire for six minutes. Throw some black pepper on it, and serve.

    An individual’s decision as to what pleases their taste buds has absolutely no connection to his taste in other matters or class. Anyone who is eating a piece of meat that still moos because they have been convinced that they are inferior to someone who prefers it well done needs to get a backbone.

    I used to prefer my steaks medium well to well done. But that was before I had dentures.

    Sam T53 is right on target. The steaks have been properly bled. If that is a concern, there is no reason to avoid anything from steak tar-tar, (delicious pre cooked [raw] steak) to Medium. Ground beef is another story, usually medium to medium well for me on burgers.
