There’s a “doggie day care” up the road from us, which looks really nice. They have large fenced yards, and allow the dogs to play together, more or less sorted by size. We’re getting ready to go on vacation, so I stopped to check it out. They want $55 dollars a day! Dear heaven! Blazer will go to our regular vet – for $25 a day, thank you very much!
Mine absolutely detests other dogs and cannot go to dog parks, day care or boarding facilities. Fortunately my folks would keep him overnight if needed. He adores people though. Our vet said that is more important and that some dogs will never enjoy the company of other canines.
If I had to take my pets with me on vacation and the hotel did not allow pets…I would not stay there. If I had to fly with my pets and the airline that I wanted to use, had a habit of accidentally sending pets, over the rainbow bridge…I would not use them. Pets, are like family and when the industries that be realize this, then pets and people, can enjoy a fun and safe vacation!
Chuck’s mom and dad would watch Mr. Bo Jangles and his dad would feed our cats for us; so we didn’t have to worry! Our Thumper likes to “Go for a ride” so much if we stop shortly after leaving the house he whines and whimpers cause he thinks its already over!
