While I have greatly disagreed with Republican policies over the years, at least the party always stood for something. They actually had principles — Eisenhower, Reagan, even the ultra-corrupt Nixon stood for fiscal responsibility, deficit hawks, free trade, oppose tariffs, family values, states’ rights, party of Lincoln who defeated the KKKONfederate flag, STANDING FIRM AGAINST FASCISM and RUSSIAN/SOVIET AGGRESSION.

Now the Cult of Comrade TRUMPski has managed to get the Republican party to not merely abandon but enthusiastically reverse every single one of its most sacred cows.

Deficit hawks? Fiscal responsibility? Today’s TrumpubliCON party blows holes in the deficit, opposes free trade and supports tariffs.

Family values? Now the TrumpubliCONs support payoffs to porn stars and nude models and serial adultery, kidnapping babies and toddlers and putting them in cages (well, if they have brown skin).

Standing firm against Fascism, KKKONfederacy, Russian / Soviet aggression? Today’s TrumpubliCONs wave Nazi and KKKONfederate flags and hold up a former Soviet KGB top official above American intelligence, while surrendering key advantages to Russians and accept Russian complicity in meddling in the American electoral process.

But under Comrade TRUMPski, they have completely abandoned every one of their former principles, to embrace a vulgar, crude admitted woman-groper who pays hush money to porn stars and nude models to keep quiet about affairs he had while his wife was recovering from childbirth.

Gives new meaning to the term “RED states.”

This is, to put it mildly, overly kind on Trudeau’s part.

And, had Hillary been elected with even a hint of Russian assistance, the Republicans would’ve called for burning her at the stake!

Funny, the guy doesn’t look like Paul Ryan. Oh, wait, that’s right. Ryan himself isn’t running again. (Weak stomach, I’m guessing.) Instead he cloned himself (minus the part of his DNA responsible for his vestigial conscience) and is pouring Speaker-sized cash into the clone’s campaign coffers. And all the good little sheep in Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District will think “How nice. A fresh young Republican face, uncorrupted by the swamp, willing to stand up to those evil Democrats and their pizza-basement child-porn rings.”

The repubs only ever pretended to have integrity. They’ve always been in it for themselves. They want the government to be small and inexpensive so they could suck as much money from the public as possible. Now they have their tax cuts for themselves and they can control the people with their ideas of so called (religious) values.

So far from reading the comments I gather that far right wizz(-ed upon) kids take a few decades or more to come to the conclusion that all politicians make bad decisions and also abuse the living daylights out of the power of the office. Gasp! Who knew? They get their insight from stalwart, in-depth bastians of the scholarly press (Newsweak and McPaper), and they do so with near orgasmic delight. Yet somehow the fart right wing nuts continue to willfully ignore the ravings of the current occupant of the WH and his criminal and ever so nearly treasonous behavior.

The deficit, at least, is something that Republicans never actually cared about. All their talk about it was just an excuse to bash opponents and cut any spending that didn’t go to their rich sponsors.

Who ever stood up to evil powers better than Trump?

This is kind of like asking who ever stood up to Lucifer better than Satan.

But, on the unlikely chance that this just might have been an honest question from an extremely unlikely source, I’m gonna start with Lincoln, Churchill, FDR, Ike, and JFK.

99-Year-Old Nuremberg Prosecutor Calls Trump’s Detention of Children a ‘Crime Against Humanity’

“What could cause more great suffering than what they did in the name of immigration law?”

Ninety-nine year old Ben Ferencz made the comments in a recent lengthy interview with United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, which was posted online Tuesday.

When he learned of the family separations, “it was very painful for me,” Ferencz told Zeid. “I knew the Statue of Liberty. I came under the Statue of Liberty as an immigrant.” Ferencz was a baby when his family came to the United States from Romania.

Republicans may want us to think they have a backbone, but they are afraid to criticize trump, who is a money-laundering, serial-lying, treasonous, compromised, racist clown since it might disturb some voters back home.

and didn’t they used to kind of hate the russians? if you substituted “hillary” or “obama” in place of “trump” in today’s stories, repubs’ heads would be exploding to the sound of “traitor!”

I wish Trudeau would get a copy of Malcolm Nance’s book “The Plot to Kill Democracy” and after reading it, then draw some cartoons for the American Public. Think of that as a tribute to Pogo.
