That’s what I deal with but the roles are reversed.

My cat used to do that and then whine that he was hungry. That got old quick, so I’d just throw his dinner it in the mini food processor and made the whole thing gravy. I think was when he was adjusting badly to my changing shifts at work. He was a bit high strung and really didn’t like disruptions to his routine.

Her new name is “Someone” so the strip will now be named “Arlo and Someone.”

The biggest thing I miss about our old house &yard is tossing the spoiled cat out the door!

My husband cleans the spoon used with the food. I clean the dish and the counter and the chair beneath the counter. I have no idea why the 2 of them are so messy but the cat has an excuse not to clean up.

The cat lives outside or in the garage in inclement weather. She’s enough of a problem there.

I have a friend who insisted her cats would only eat the expensive canned stuff. I said they’ll eat what they get, maybe not at first, but eventually. They now get the dry bagged “chow” and come running when they hear the bag.

Mine leave the chunkies behind too, sometimes. I just add some water and leave it. Lo and behold, it all disappears within a couple hours.

We brought in a stray who had obviously lived high in a previous life, and wanted soft food. Canned food was OK but she’d take big chances to grab my scrambled eggs. After some “discussion” we settled on a quarter can per day with kibble. Eventually she figured out she was going to eat it or find another home. She decided to eat it.

My current cat was a stray, who had been fed kibble while living outdoors. Now I have persuaded him to eat canned food and he considers kibble to be a treat.

Toss it in the blender beforehand so that he eats it all.
