I think it was “My Blue Heaven”. Steve Martin and Rick Moranis get in the car, pull out of the driveway, then immediately back into the neighbor’s drive. “This is LA, nobody walks” or words to that effect…

It’s true ! Nobody walk in L.A. !! When business took me to the City of Lost Angels, my Cal. friends thought I was nuts because I walked everywhere.

They’d take their cars to drive a couple of blocks to the store or a restaurant. To me, that was crazy.

I learned more about their neighborhoods and their city, on my strolls, than they did in their entire lives, living there.
