It’s always been clear that Trump isn’t nearly as rich as he likes to pretend. (He doesn’t own many of the hotels that bear his name, he rents his name out to the people that actually own them. Not much different than an athlete on a box of Wheaties—nobody expects the athlete to make the cereal!) Trump refused to release his tax returns for three reasons: They would prove he’s nowhere near as rich as he likes to pretend. They would expose just how much Trump is tied up with Russian banks and Russian pols. And, never to be underestimated, Trump refuses to release his returns because of his sheer raw cowardice, always one of his prime motivators.
Much, much, much less. The Forbes reporter who first put him on their list of the richest people realized later that he had maybe $2 million when he was claiming $100 million, and he’s never been off the list, even though there is excellent reason to think he shouldn’t be on it at all even now.
Trump sued a writer nearly a decade ago for claiming Trump “only” had $300 million instead of being a billionaire. The court granted the writer access to Trump’s financial information in order to properly defend himself. Trump lost the lawsuit, but the writer was permanently barred from revealing any of Trump’s financial information. You’d think that if Trump were actually worth what he claims, he’d allow the writer to reveal at least some of that information.
In a deposition Donald John Trump made in one of the myriad lawsuits in which he was the litigant over the years (and that he lost, as I recall), Donnie stated that his total worth was determined by the worth of his “Brand” (his Name, if you can believe it!) and the worth of his brand was determined by what HE decides it’s worth at any given moment!
To put it another way, Donnie’s relative position in Forbes richest American s List is totally or in large part determined by the veracity of the wealth estimations of Donald John Trump, himself – and we have continual evidence of Donnie’s veracity in other instances!
Odd, too, that Dumb Donnie said he NEVER MET the Reporter that interviewed him MULTIPLE TIMES. But, it’s Donnie, so what else would you expect other them blatant LYING and pure B.S.??? I honestly think the Neon Weasel on his head would EXPLODE into flames if he EVER told the truth!
