    But if you let the politicians out early, they would be mixed up in the general population. Isn’t it safer to have them all in one place where we have a chance to keep an eye on them?

    I really would like to see all politicians serve limited terms – a “one and done” of 4 years for the House, 6 for the Senate and 6 for the Presidency. If they can’t steal enough or screw things up enough, in that length of time, well shame on ’em !

    Term Limitations. If not by law, then two terms and vote ‘em out regardless. I’ve seen too many initially good and honorable citizens turn after a few terms…

    Limiting our President to two terms was a remarkable improvement, which kept our country from degenerating down to the level of those countries that have a “President for life.” We need to do the same for our legislature. Limit the Senators to two terms (12 years). Limit the Congressmen to five terms (10 years). That is time enough for anyone, who is competent enough to be positively constructive to accomplish something, without over-staying and degenerating.
