    How about instead of a solid black box for blocking out the curse word use old school curse symbols like stars, exclamation points and “@” symbols like they did in the past.

    The first curse word was invented when the first man first stood up right, slipped and fell on his face. It was immortalized in a cave drawing and thus the first Comics were born. No one knows what the curse word was, but everyone understands the context.
