My phone is cruel. For months for some reason whenever I go to the GC site it opens up the 10/15 strip which has VB’s familiar Good Morning Guys greeting. Sad reminder.

I’m liking Christine more and more. She seems like a genuinely nice person.

If i recall correctly, Ugly Christine kept her bangs over her face to hide the “B” that Ol’ Smiley branded into her forehead. I’m thinking maybe Ignatz is onto something.

Maybe Crystal will change her hairstyle and we will see that she has a striking resemblance to Honeymoon then she will get surgery similar to what Mysta had turning her into another synthetic Lunarian solving the Governor’s need for more females on the moon

I’ve always enjoyed Shelley Pleger’s inks, but I have to say I’ve also enjoyed Charles Ettinger’s guest inks these past few weeks. Very good work. It amazes me how much talent is involved in creating this strip.

For some reason, Honeymoon is looking rather wistful today.

Um, Crystal, sweetie, you’re a lovely young lady.

Poignant strip today, as Crystal laments the tag that has been imposed on her for who-knows-how-long. Even if she does bear wicked uncle’s brand seared into her forehead, she is still likely not anywhere near “ugly” by Dick Tracy strip standards. She could use a new hairstyle, independent of the late Ugly Christine’s. And she could use a friend like Honeymoon.

So far I see no evil intent on Crystal’s part. But I do worry that the tidbits of information she shares with Uncle Bribery will eventually be used with malicious intent by him. I just hope Crystal herself doesn’t turn to the Dark Side….
