They can only deliver what gets sent.

Even more now, the US Postal System is necessary. Too much dependence on high tech or commercial solutions (i.e. electronic, private, etc.) is a bad thing.

At least parts of the U.S. Male System seem to like to collect tramp stamps………

If it wasn’t for junk mail, certified mail, Amazon, and UPS the USPS wouldn’t have anything to deliver. I once ordered something from Georgia on a Wednesday. The scheduled delivery date was the following Tuesday. I arrived at the nearest UPS DC to me in NJ on Friday. Saturday it was shipped to a DC in PA. Was returned to the same DC in NJ on Sunday. Monday they dropped it off at my local Post Office and was delivered to me on Tuesday. UPS when out of their way not to deliver it early.

As someone who sells semi-regularly on eBay, I’ve found the USPS to be efficient, fast, and reliable. The only delivery problems I’ve run into in the last 3 years were due to customer error. The US Male, however… some good, some bad, some GREAT, some Trump.

But she’s right about one thing, at least: junk. If I weren’t receiving junk mail, I’d be getting 95% less mail overall….
