Umm, She’s a bit more violent, but cats I have lived with had their own way of waking us up. The first one would start stirring around in the potted plant in our bedroom, making rustling noises and prompting a fear of a falling pot. More than one have done the “Does my nose feel wet on your nose?” routine (while standing on my chest). Some bounced around on the bed. Some vocalized.
Cybil deserves to have her own theme music. Not that Liö himself could hear, of course, but for the audience. Okay, okay, I’ll just go back to humming it to myself.
I’ve never had a cat pounce on me like this to request breakfast. They do come into the bedroom and start meowing. And one (now alas gone) would start patting me on the face with one paw. But she kept her claws sheathed.
Carefully she stalked. She espied the little server-boy with bunny sleeping. That would not do! Cybil sprang and pounced with righteous vigor! It was time for food! The startled sleepy server complied. Cybil was satisfied. He did it Her Way!

Leave it to Cybil to scare a boy like Lio half to death. At least it was just a pounce. My cat use to bite my face to wake me up.
