If they follow the hiking trail, they’ll still have to cross the Red Sea somehow.

And, being a man, Moses STILL wouldn’t stop and ask for directions!

I thought they crossed the Reed Sea, which was a marshy area to the North of the Red Sea.

The Israelites were stuck between the Red Sea and the Egyptian army in an area where there was no other way out.

@KAR 120 c: It’s not the reading so much; it’s the absolute idiocy of reading mythology literally. . .

Do I need to be the one to point out that the sign is backwards? If they are approaching the Red Sea from Egypt, then the “walking trail” is to the left (and up to where the Suez Canal is now) and not to the right (unless "walking trail refers to walking the perimeter of Africa, a whale of a lot longer than 500 km).

And I’m sure they aren’t escaping INTO Egypt!

You can get there by land, but that arrow is pointing the wrong direct. The land bridge from Egypt is to the north!

Moses HAD directions. He didn’t always want to follow them, and neither did the people he was leading.
