When he’s right, he’s right
Man, I haven’t had a choke on my car in long time…
Motorcycles still have chokes and the problem said nothing about it being a car.
I’d like to see Mr. Schad average 55 mph since they took away his license and the kids sold the Dodge.
And don’t tell me he’ll take the bus because it only runs from Belmont to Cadillac on Fridays and alternate Mondays during the school year.
what’s the distance from Belmont to Cadillac? We might know how fast the guy drives over a set distance but without knowing the distance between the two places how are we supposed to solve the problem?
Any stops would be irrelevant if he had AVERAGED 55 mph over the entire distance.
Google Maps shows the distance between Belmont and Cadillac Michigan to be 86.7 miles using US131. Reed City is at about the 1 hour point at 55 mph.
Are there even any Texaco stations anymore? I thought they were bought out. Shoot, who can keep up?
He has a point
whats old about 55 mph limit
Nowhere does it says 55 mph is the speed limit; the kid is making an assumption.

Assuming it’s 84 miles from Belmont to Cadillac, it would take him 1 29/55 hours.
And if Mr. Schad enjoys his ride, is it Schadenfreude then? ;-)
Don’t forget if it is a hot day, he will have to stop and put water in the radiator. There are places along the way for that.
Geeze I am old!
Maybe he’s taking Northland Drive up there
Factoring in the time it takes him to crank-start the Jalopy….
There are still roads that aren’t interstates out there.
Is it common knowledge for 3rd graders to know the distance by road between Belmont and Cadillac?
