    Good morning Gweedo!

    .

Answer me this all knowing Gweedo, the great one, is there any hope that we will wake up from this horrid nightmare or are we stuck with “Aaron’s Folly” forever?

I understand Mr. Carrion is a con man. (I haven’t read any Spirit stories.)

Somebody was asking a few days back about Mr. Carrion’s pet vulture, Julia. There she is.

I have little experience with The Spirit, but Mr. Carrion was mentioned. I wasn’t sure what someone with that title would look like. The big buzzard or condor is a nice touch. like the Joker having hyenas.

Perfect, all locked in the place, when will they start dying? I am asking rhetorically.

I forgot about Carrion – he was the obvious suspect to be the other security risk! Now, didn’t Spirit just tease Tracy with something like “You sure know how to pick them”? LOL Now the shoe (not a sneaker!) is on the other foot!

@JIM_IN_CT I have to go through that for two days and it seems like the site cookie now remembers me.

As for saving the strip, right clicking on the image on this page does not work. There is an instruction in yesterday’s comments on how to do it.

The introduction of the bidders has started with Carrion. Then comes Warbucks and finally meet the mysterious madame in panel 2 of the December 31st strip.

If Bribery happens to be one of the bidders, Doubleup’s loyalty becomes doubtful.

There’s no place like home !  There’s no place like home !  There’s no place like home !….

I hope it’s not true and we can go home again, Bill !

At least I can see my queue at the top again. I still would like for comments to be visible when i am on a strip as I will peek in at some of the strips I follow even if I don’t talk there. All we need is access to the BMBG toolkit and I am a happy boy ! (big smiley image)

Widget to show all replies on page:

Sorry for the delay. My first widget to work with the new GoComics is now ready. You’ll find it at http://worldofdt.info/gchelp.html

It’s been tested on Chrome and Firefox. The instructions could be a little more complete but I think that many of you will be able to figure it out. Ask questions if you need help. More tricks and tips are coming to that page.

I’ve posted this twice in replies to Rod and Vista Bill, but I’m retyping it here as its own “main topic” to try to let as many people here to know about this.

You no longer have to type a – or . in between lines to make a paragraph space. Just press ENTER

    twice

and you have a paragraph space.

Yesterday, a GoComics tech gave us advice that claimed we needed to type a stupid html code to make a paragraph space, but really, all you need is press ENTER twice.

The one change that’s an actual improvement, even of the original format that was thrown out last fall, and it doesn’t sound like GoComics tech are aware of it. Maybe it’s just a lucky accident?

Getting back to the strip itself, notice the “motion lines” in panel one. That’s just exactly what people do when they are opening a large, unwieldy folded sheet, such as a map, or floor plans at a hotel, or even a newspaper. Joe has a good eye for that type of detail.

The Beginning of Gocom’s involvement with it. Some strips, like Peanuts, actually do go back to the beginning of the strip. Would be nice if these guys can get the rights to publish all the way back to the 1931 beginning of D.T. !

I wonder if BMBG Wunderkind Neil, will be able to work out a way to “rejuice” the page that eliminates the need to reopen comments and also the widget. Thanks so much for that tool ! (Big Smiley image)

For those that don’t know “domesticated” vultures are very interesting birds with a lot of individual personality. Some of them are gentle, curious and friendly with people. Others, of the same species, are pretty short tempered. While not as smart as parrots, they are brighter than most other birds.
